PhD students

NYU Shanghai is a unique and exciting environment for PhD studies.

• Your first first year will be in NYC (for courses). In subsequent years, you’ll be based primarily in Shanghai.
• Upon graduation, you will recieve a degree from NYU You can read more here.

Prospective PhD students should apply to the NYU CS PhD program (this is the same application as for Courant/Tandon). Indicate your interest in NYU Shanghai.

Undergraduate students

I ocassionally have funded research opportunties for undergrads. To be considered, you should have done well in upper-level computer science and math courses. The availability of these positions is constrained by my capacity not by funding.
